Singer Bella Shmurda has dismissed reports that he was drunk during a recent stage performance in Asaba, Delta State.
The 23-year-old Okokomaiko-born star trended on Twitter on Tuesday after a video purportedly showing him performing under the influence went viral on social media.
Several blogs claimed he was “apparently high”.
Reacting in a series of posts, the ‘Cash App’ singer said those posting negative things about him will get tired.
“Be careful with false information. Verify your news before putting it out,” he wrote in an Instagram story.
Making light of the report, he said he will consider paying Instablog N100,000 for each post made about him.
He also posted a video showing him singing on stage at the same event and captioned it “my view”.
Bella Shmurda has been open about his wild ways.
Speaking in an Instagram Live session featuring Zlatan in December, he thanked those who he said helped him get his act together.
“I was going astray, but you supported me with everything in 2020. You (Zlatan), Olamide, Poco Lee and Papisnoop.
“I was going astray when you found me and helped me. I was smoking and drinking nonsense, but you helped me,” he confessed.
Bella Shmurda shot into limelight in 2019 with the release of a single titled ‘Vision 2020’.
He has gone on to work with the likes of Olamide, Zlatan, Davido, Shaybo, DJ Consequence and Mastekraft.
He has been nominated in the Next Rated category of the 14th edition of The Headies.
