Bello El-Rufai, son of Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has clashed with a Twitter user.
Bello went into a battle of words with the Twitter user known as @oewonah on Sunday over President Donald Trump’s handling of COVID-19 in the United States in relation to President Muhammadu Buhari’s management of the pandemic in Nigeria.
The man then referred to Bello as ‘daddy’s boy’ and appeared to have called his father names.
Bello fired back in a tweet now deleted: “Oh and tell your mother I’m passing her to my friends tonight. No Igbo sounds please! Tueh.”
Former presidential candidate, Oby Ezekwesili, tried to intervene in the matter, urging Bello to apologise for the tweets.
Bello replied: “Rape? You saw part of a tweet of me replying a silly boy that called Mallam a murderer. At that point, I thought it was fair to add his mother. Ethnic vitriol? When a particular gang videotaped Northerners, called us illiterates and called Yoruba’s slaves, you never interjected.”
El-Rufai is currently receiving treatment in isolation after testing positive for COVID-19.
