Senator Ben Murray-Bruce has visited the family farm of his late wife, Evelyn, following her burial on March 28.
Mr Bruce shared a photo of himself on the farm on Thursday on Twitter.
The former Bayelsa East lawmaker then thanked everyone for prayers and encouragement.
“Thank you all for the prayers and words of encouragement. My family and I are most grateful,” he said.
“These past few weeks have been nothing like the past. I am currently on my wife’s family farm, even as I reflect and stay strong for my family.”
Murray-Bruce lost his wife to cancer on March 20.
They were married for 41 years and have four children with several grandchildren.
