The Senator representing Bayelsa East at the National Assembly, Ben Murray-Bruce is desperately seeking to contact Chierika Ukogu, the 23-year-old female rower representing Nigeria at ongoing Rio Olympics.
Ukogu’s heroics at the Games have attracted Nigerians at home and abroad who have been generous in showering praise on her.
Not to be left out, the commonsense senator and showbiz investor has also publicly declared that he is proud of her.
Murray-Bruce didn’t stop at that; he requested for her number via social media so he could call to encourage her.

Ukogu will on Wednesday compete in the semi-final of the women’s single sculls rowing competition at the Olympics.
A less desperate Murray-Bruce would have reached her through the Nigerian Olympic Committee (NOC)
