Gunmen have kidnapped Benue State commissioner for housing and urban development Ekpe Ogbu.
The commissioner was kidnapped along David Marks Farm, after Akpa Otobi while he was on his way from Otukpo to Utonkon in Ado Local Government Area of the state.
The kidnappers also took the people he was travelling with — Agbo Ode, one of his in-laws and the driver.
Ogbu was said to have attended a Church programme where Senator Abba Moro of Benue South dedicated his newly inaugurated campaign council to God at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Otukpo and was returning to his village before the incident happened on Sunday night.
The police have since recovered his official vehicle from the scene.
