Ex-minister of humanitarian affairs and poverty reduction Betta Edu has returned to Instagram after being sacked from President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet.
On October 23, the Presidency announced the “discharge” of five ministers.
The ministers were Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, Lola Ade-John, Prof. Tahir Mamman, Abdullahi Gwarzo and Jamila Ibrahim. Edu was not included as she has been suspended since January over alleged misappropriation of funds.
However, the appointment of Nentawe Yilwatda as the new minister of humanitarian affairs and poverty reduction confirmed Edu has been permanently removed.
On Sunday, Edu made her comeback on Instagram after months of being away.
The former minister has not posted on the photo-sharing app since July 13 when she reacted to the collapse of a school building in Jos, Plateau State capital. She has been active on X.
Edu posted pictures of herself in celebration of her 38th birthday, saying God has never failed her.
“What can I say to this great God for doing wonders without end! Indeed the woman Jesus is in love with is one year greater today!” She wrote.
“For 38 years of my Life God has been faithful, he has never failed me or lost a battle! He is a super God and all I can say is big thank you! I am nothing without you!”
