Super Falcons forward, Francisca Ordega, has joined Atletico Madrid female team, Atletico de Madrid Femenino, from American side, Washington Spirit.
Ordega, who clocked 24 on Thursday, will join the club in March having passed a medical.
“For me it’s an honour and i am very happy to be here,” the ex-Rivers Angels star told the club’s official website on Friday.
“Atletico Madrid is a great club, internationally recognised, and I really want to start.”
Ordega spent the previous campaign at Australian side, Sydney FC.
The diminutive forward started her career at Bayelsa Queens before joining Rivers.
Her first taste of European football was at Russian side, Rossiyanka, then spells at Piteå IF and Spirits followed.
For her country, Ordega has been capped 26 times, winning the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations thrice.
