Presiding Bishop of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM), Mike Okonkwo, has clocked 74.
Gospel musicians have been pouring praises on the TREM founder who is said to be the ‘spiritual father’ of several popular preachers in Nigeria.

Nathaniel Bassey was one of those who hailed Okonkwo on his 74th birthday on Friday.
He said: “How can I forget ‘Big Daddy’? You can’t write the story of my life without mentioning Bishop Mike OKONKWO. I have shared how because of my little stature about 26 years ago, bought for me a small black trumpet (a cornet actually).
“I still remember being swallowed in a suit the first Sunday I ministered at the TREM headquarters. Got the church to give me an offering and from then on, ensured I kept growing. Thank You, sir. May you continue to grow in Grace.”
Okonkwo had in August urged governors to hold traditional rulers responsible for rising spate of kidnapping.
