Nigeria has recorded a second medal at the Tokyo Olympics following wrestler Blessing Oborududu’s clinching of a silver medal on Tuesday.
Oborududu was defeated 4-1 by USA’s Tamyra Mensah-Stock in the final of the women’s freestyle 68kg.
Oborududu has already made history as the first Nigerian wrestler ever to reach the final and win a silver medal at the Olympics.
The 32-year-old began wrestling at St Jude’s Girls Secondary School in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
