Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Paul Enenche, has decried the persistent killings in parts of Nigeria, expressing frustration over what he described as the deafening silence from those in authority.
Speaking during a Special Service at the Glory Dome in Abuja, the cleric recalled receiving a heartbreaking call from a village pastor shortly before the service.
According to him, the pastor narrated how entire families were wiped out and children murdered in their sleep during an attack on their community.
Lamenting the worsening insecurity, Enenche questioned the failure of leadership to address the situation, asking why blood continues to spill with no meaningful action from those responsible for protecting lives.
“You have your farmland and some people come to uproot cassava to feed their animals, and you ask why? They waste your blood on your father’s land. What did we do in this country to warrant this?” he asked.
“Blood flowing like water in Plateau State, Benue State, and others. What evil did we do in this country that we have not had the solution to this matter?”
The pastor called for leaders with compassion and conscience, urging those in power to take decisive action to end the killings.
“When will we have people there that will have heart for people? That will sit up and make legislation. That will eliminate the wastage of blood in this land. Why is blood flowing like water? And nobody is saying anything,” he said.
Enenche also revealed that a former security officer recently confided in him about being afraid to travel to his hometown due to rampant attacks along major roads, a situation he described as deeply troubling.
