The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) Lagos State Command has said that crossdresser Bobrisky born Idris Okuneye is in a shared cell and not a one-bedroom flat or an en suite style cell as rumoured.
Spokesperson for the Command Rotimi Oladokun made this known in a statement on Saturday.
“Idris has been allocated a shared cell with other convicted inmates as there are no en-suite or ‘one bedroom flat’ style cells in the Custodial Centre as the cell blocks infrastructure are built as shared buildings, to accommodate multiple inmates,” Oladokun said.

The statement noted that Bobrisky is not getting special privileges at the custodial centre.
“The convict is remanded in a male Custodial Centre and observes all regulations and rules in place at the centre especially with regards to dress code. He wears male designated correctional clothing for convicted inmates.
“Idris is being treated just as every other inmate without any special amenities or privilege accorded,” the statement added.
In a subsequent conversation with Channels TV, Oladokun debunked a viral post on social media which claimed that Bobrisky donated chairs to the correctional centre.
