The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has disclosed that crossdresser Bobrisky is yet to meet his bail conditions.
EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale confirmed that the controversial crossdresser was granted bail on Thursday and will be allowed to go home if he meets the bail condition.
“Yes. He has been granted administrative bail. Normally when you take in a suspect lawfully, there are some thresholds as to the number of days he can be held in custody.
“So, we are only complying with the law. We have offered him administrative bail. He has not met the bail conditions. If he meets the bail conditions today he will go home,” he said.
Bobriksy’s arrest was confirmed in a statement shared on EFCC official Instagram account on Thursday.
According to the statement, Bobrisky was invited following a report of him spraying and flaunting new naira notes at the premiere of Ajakaju: Beast of Two Worlds, produced by Eniola Ajao.
The statement read: “Operatives of the Lagos Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have commenced investigation of Idris Okuneye, a.k.a Bobrisky, for allegedly spraying Naira notes.
“The EFCC had invited the 31-year-old following a video report of spraying and flaunting wads of new Naira notes at the premiere of a movie, Ajakaju, produced by Eniola Ajao, a Nollywood actress and producer, at Film One Circle Mall, Lekki, Lagos on March 24, 2024.
“Investigation also revealed that he had also committed the alleged offence at some other event centres and parties at different times.
