A Boeing 737 passenger plane carrying 143 people has slid off a runway and ended up in a river in Florida, US.
Although there was no death, about 20 people were rushed to the hospital when the incident occurred Friday night.
The aircraft had flown from Guantanamo Bay in Cuba.
Passengers said the plane landed heavily as the storm raged, forcing it to slide into the nearby St John’s River.
It is not known if the storm is entirely to blame for the mishap.
The latest incident comes months after a Boeing 737 Max 8 plane crashed in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia killing all 157 persons on board.
Passenger Cheryl Bormann told CNN: “The plane literally hit the ground and bounced – it was clear the pilot did not have total control of the plane, it bounced again.
“We were in the water. We couldn’t tell where we were, whether it was a river or an ocean.”
