The body of the late ex-governor of Ondo State Rotimi Akeredolu has arrived in Nigeria.
Akeredolu’s body was brought into the country on Friday evening from Germany, where he passed away at the age of 67 on December 27, 2023.
Among those who received the body were his widow Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, children, and siblings led by his immediate younger brother Prof. Wole Akeredolu.

Others were Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, represented by his chief of staff, Tayo Ayinde; Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Tokunbi Talabi; and a representative of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Ondo State, Ade Adetimehin; a member of the House of Representatives, Gboyega Adefarati, and some members of the Ondo State Executive Council, led by the Secretary to the State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu, were also present at the airport to receive the body of the former governor.
