Former minister of transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, and former minister of labour and employment, Chris Ngige, have been retained in President Muhammadu Buhari’s ministerial nominees’ list.
Also in the list are former governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola; former Benue State governor, George Akume; former Bayelsa State governor, Timipre Sylva.
Senator Godswill Akpabio has also made the 43-nominee list which was announced on Tuesday by Senate President Ahmad Lawan.
Spokesman of Buhari 2019 Campaign Organisation, Festus Keyamo; and former minister of works, power and housing, Babatunde Fashola, have also made the list.
The list also includes Adeniiyi Adebayo, Gbemisola Saraki, Olutayo Alasoadura, Adeleke Mamora, and former minister of science and technology, Ogbonnaya Onu.
Also retained is the former minister for justice and Attorney-General, Abubakar Malami; former minister of information, Lai Mohammed; former minister of finance, Zainab Ahmed; and former minister of education, Adamu Adamu.
Former FCT Minister, Muhammad Bello, has also made the list.
The appointments were made across the six geopolitical zones.
The Senate President said that screening of the ministerial nominees would commence on Wednesday and “legislative activities will take the backstage.”
President Buhari’s ministerial list comes nearly two months after his inauguration on May 29.
