The Court of Appeal has sacked Jimoh Ibrahim as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) PDP in Saturday’s governorship election in Ondo State.
In a unanimous judgment, the Justice Ibrahim Saulawa led three-man Special Panel of the appellate court, on Wednesday reinstated Eyitayo Jegede, who belongs to the Ahmed Makarfi faction of the PDP, as the party’s flag bearer.
It set aside the October 14 ruling of the Federal High Court by Justice Okon Abang which declared the flamboyant Ibrahim as candidate.
It declared Abang’s judgement as “violent attitudinal disposition to rule of law”.
All the objections filed by Ibrahim, a member of the Ali Modu-Sheriff faction of the PDP, Court were also dismissed.
