An ex-governor of the old Kaduna State Balarabe Musa has passed on aged 84.
Musa was elected governor under the platform of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) in the Second Republic in 1979.
Senator Shehu Sani, a member of the PRP, announced Musa’s death on Wednesday.
“Alhaji Balarabe Musa has died. May Allah forgive his souls and grant him Aljanna firdausi. Amin,” he tweeted.
As governor, Musa was prevented from constituting a cabinet by the state house of assembly dominated by the opposition National Party of Nigeria (NPN) members.
Eventually, the House impeached him in June 1981.
Before his death, Musa was the chairman of the PRP board of trustees.
