President Muhammadu Buhari will not be addressing the nation on Monday, May 18 on the coronavirus, the Presidency has said.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, said in a tweet on Monday that no presidential address was planned.
“No presidential broadcast on COVID-19 updates today. None was planned. Rather, the Presidential Task Force will during its usual media briefings bring the nation up to speed on the next steps,” he wrote.
National Coordinator of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, Sani Aliyu, had been quoted on Sunday during an appearance on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics saying the president would make his fourth address to the nation on the pandemic on Monday.
