Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has dissolved the State Executive Council, one year to the end of his administration.
The dissolution was announced in the early hours of Sunday by Special Adviser to the Governor on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka.
All the former commissioners have been directed to hand over to the permanent secretaries of their respective ministries, a statement by Olayinka said.
Fayose thanked the former commissioners for their service to the state and wished them well in their future endeavours.
The sack comes one week after fellow Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, sacked his entire cabinet.
