Gospel singer Dele Agbeyo aka Dele Gold has died.
The self-acclaimed Miliki gospel king was a native of Usi, Ekiti State. He however grew up in Faforiji, Osun State.
Dele Gold is said to have died on Wednesday following a brief illness.
Some of his colleagues such as Titi Oguntoyinbo, Akinlabi Major, Alayo Melody Singer and Wonder Doyin Kujore have confirmed his death on social media.
“Lord this is rude shock to me ooo hmmm,” Titi wrote on Facebook.
Akinlabi Major also wrote on Facebook, “Let someone tell me this is not true. RIP Dele Gold.”
“Dele Gold Kee???Ahh this is getting too much ooo!!!May God help us stop untimely death. Dele Agbeyo May your soul rest well,” Alayo Melody Singer wrote on Instagram.
Wonder Doyin Kujore commented on the incident on Facebook. He wrote, “Nothing is in this world, let us live today and leave tomorrow for God. I find it difficult to post people that died prematurely because it saddened my heart but I just have to pay my last respect here. Hmm This life is full of vanity. Rest on Dele Agbotikuyo Dele Gold.”
Dele Gold featured legendary Juju singer Ebenezer Obey in his album in 2019.
His death comes one month after another gospel singer Aduke Ajayi, popularly referred to as Aduke Gold, died while receiving treatment for cervical cancer.
