Saudi club Al Hilal lost their second game in the FIFA Club World Cup on Wednesday against Chelsea thanks to a first half goal from Romelu Lukaku.
Al Hilal started the game with Nigeria international Odion Ighalo leading the attack as they stumbled to a defeat in Abu Dhabi.
Chelsea held on to the lone goal to give themselves a second shot at a first Club World Cup title after failing in 2012.
The London club will face Palmeiras on Saturday for the title after Al Hilal would have been in action in a third-place play-off against Al Ahly.
Ighalo, who only moved to the club in January from Al Shabab, got off to a strong start after netting on his debut in the FIFA competition on Sunday.
The 32-year-old scored an equaliser which helped his team go on to win UAE side Al Jazira 6-1, with former West Brom midfielder Matheus Pereira on the scoresheet too.
Al Hilal are in the competition after winning the Asian Champions League in 2021.
Although he did not feature for Nigeria at AFCON 2021, Ighalo scored 22 goals in 32 games for Al Shabab.
