A former Secretary to Edo State Government, Osagie Ize-Iyamu, has emerged the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the September polls in Edo State.
Chairman of the party’s primary election committee, Hope Uzodimma, declared Mr Ize-Iyamu winner of the direct primary on Monday.
Ize-Iyamu defeated Pius Odubu and Osaro Obaze to clinch the party’s ticket.
Uzodimma said Ize-Iyamu polled 27,838 votes; Odubu scored 3,776 while Obaze got 2,751 votes.
