Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, has reportedly resigned from her position over allegation she forged her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) exemption certificate.
Daily Trust, which broke the story, said it is not clear when she submitted her resignation letter.
The newspaper said a source said Mrs Adeosun felt that her position is becoming untenable and is hurting President Muhammadu Buhari in the run-up to the 2019 election.
Call by Qed.ng to Adeosun’s media aide, Oluyinka Akintunde, was not answered.
