The Super Eagles of Nigeria have qualified for the round-of-16 of the 32nd African Cup of Nations after defeating Guinea by a lone goal on Wednesday.
The goal, which makes Nigeria the first country to qualify for the next round, was scored by defender, Kenneth Omeruo, in the 73rd minute.
In a largely uneventful contest in Alexandria, Nigeria made the breakthrough when Omeruo headed in from a Moses Simon corner.
Guinean player, Naby Keita, struggled in the contest as he showed signs of the injury that ended his domestic season with Liverpool.
