Nigeria has recorded 91 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total confirmed in the country to 1273.
This was announced early on Monday morning in a tweet by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
According to the NCDC, 43 of the new cases were recorded in Lagos, the epicentre of COVID-19 in the country.
Eight were in Sokoto, six in Taraba, while Kaduna and Gombe have five each.
Forty fatalities have been recorded across the country.
“One case previously reported in Lagos, is now an Ondo State case,” the NCDC said.
The total number of confirmed cases in Lagos is 731.
