The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) have suspended their industrial action.
The suspension followed the intervention of the national security adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.
TUC national deputy vice-president Tommy Etim made this known to PUNCH on Wednesday night.
Mr Etim said the national executive council of the NLC and TUC made the decision following the meeting between the leaders of the organised labour and Ribadu and the minister of labour, Simon Lalong, at the Office of the NSA on Wednesday afternoon.
The labour unions were on strike to protest the November 1 brutalisation of the NLC president, Joe Ajaero, and the failure of the government to implement some of the agreements reached on October 2, 2023.
