Adesina Adeniyi, the chief press secretary of Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, has resigned his position.
Oyetola announced the resignation in a tweet on Wednesday.
The governor said Mr Adeniyi left on mutual consent to take a professional appointment.
He wished him well in his future endeavours, describing Adeniyi as diligent and patriotic.
“My Chief Press Secretary, @adesinaadeniyi5 had resigned, he left on a mutual consent to take a professional appointment. @adesinaadeniyi5 is diligent, altruistic, efficient, and patriotic.
“I wish him well in his further endeavours and pray that Allah continue to elevate him,” Oyetola said.
At the time of his appointment in December 2018, Adesina was the deputy news editor of The Nation newspaper.
He holds a master’s degree in mass communication from the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
He has had media training in the United Kingdom and Denmark.
With 28 years experience in the media, Adesina has worked with Prime People (1990 -1992), National Concord (1993-1999), Punch (2000-2006) and News Star (2007-2009) from where he joined The Nation in 2010.
Adesina is from Ilesa East Local Government Area, and is married and blessed with children.
