The Rivers State Police Commissioner, Bolaji Odesanya, is dead.
He was said to have died on Tuesday morning at a brief illness at Sterling Hospital Ahmedabad-Gujarat in India after a brief illness.
He was appointed the 37th Rivers State Commissioner of Police on July 12, 2016.
Odesanya joined the force on February 2, 1986, as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police and rose through the ranks to his current position of Commissioner of Police.
He once served as Commander, Area G Command, Lagos State.
