Actor Browny Igboegwu has publicly condemned hypocrisy and ‘fake love’ in Nollywood, urging his colleagues to embrace authenticity and honesty.
Browny expressed his frustration with the two-faced behavior he has observed within the industry on Tuesday on his Instagram page.
According to him, some colleagues have a habit of speaking ill about others behind their backs while publicly pretending to be friendly and supportive.
“I’ve had enough of this fake love in Nollywood,” he wrote.
“One minute, you’re saying despicable things about your colleague, and the next, you’re posting and celebrating the same person. This is broad daylight witchcraft.”
Browny said that he would no longer tolerate this kind of behavior, pledging to distance himself from anyone found guilty of backstabbing.
“Please be genuine with your intentions towards people.
“Say no to fake love; it is worse than poison. If you can’t say something good about someone, please shut up.”
Fans and celebrities took to his comment section to voice their opinions, with many applauding him for speaking out.
