President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived in Katsina ahead of the rescheduled Presidential and National Assembly elections on Saturday.
The president arrived at the Umar Musa Yar’Adua International Airport, Katsina, on Friday at about 3:25p.m.
He and his wife, Aisha, and some aides were received at the airport by Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari; Minister of State for Aviation, Hadi Sirika; members of the National Assembly from Katsina State, heads of Federal Government agencies in the state and other government officials.
Buhari’s chopper left the airport for Daura at about 3.50p.m.
The president is expected to cast his vote on Saturday at Kofar Baru 003 polling unit, Sarkin Yara ward.
Buhari had earlier arrived in Katsina on February 14 for his campaign finale. The number one citizen had hoped to vote on February 16 until the electoral body announced the postponement of elections hours to its commencement.
