President Muhammadu Buhari has lost his former driver, retired Corp. Garba Tumba, who worked with him in the military.
Tumba died after a protracted illness in Bazza District, Michika Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
In a release on Saturday by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, Buhari commiserated with the deceased’s family especially a stalwart of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Binta Garba, over the death of her father.
The president described late Tumba as “a loyal, diligent and respectful soldier’’.
Buhari prayed that God would accept Tumba’s soul and comfort the family.
