First Lady Aisha Buhari is celebrating her 30th wedding anniversary with President Muhammadu Buhari, one week after Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and wife, Dolapo, marked theirs.
Mrs Buhari, in a post on Instagram on Monday, thanked God for being with her husband for 30 years.

“Alhamdulillah for 30yrs of togetherness. #30yearsweddinganniversary #ThanksbetoALLAH,” she wrote.
On Twitter, President Buhari wrote: “Today, on our 30th wedding anniversary, I pray for Allah’s continued peace and blessings in our home and family.”
Buhari, the 23rd child of his father, married Aisha Halilu on December 2, 1989, after divorcing his first wife, Safinatu Yusuf, in 1988.

His marriage to Safinatu lasted 17 years after it was consummated in 1971.
Buhari has five children with Aisha in addition to the five he had with Safinatu.
