President Muhammadu Buhari has nominated the Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Edward Adamu, as chairman of the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON).
Adamu’s appointment was contained in a letter sent by the President to the Senate on Tuesday.
Adamu will be replacing Muiz Banire.
This comes 24 hours after President Buhari appointed Muhammad Nami as new chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), throwing hopes of a second term for Tunde Fowler into the wind.
