President Muhammadu Buhari is not on a 20-day vacation to London, his personal assistant on new media Bashir Ahmad said on Saturday.
Some online media outfits (not Qed.ng) reported that the president departed Abuja on Saturday for another three-week vacation in London.
One of the outfits quoted a purported statement issued by one of the president’s spokesmen allegedly saying that the Nigerian leader would be back in Abuja on May 10, 2022.
However, Mr Ahmad dismissed the reports on Twitter, saying: ”The news going round that President Muhammadu Buhari has embarked on a 20-day vacation trip to London is fake.
”The president is in Abuja and he is not planning to embark on any trip to London.”
