Daughters of the president and the vice-president on Saturday lent their voices to the campaign against police brutality.
Zahra Buhari-Indimi daughter of the president shared a photo of clenched fists on her Instastory with the words, #EndPoliceBrutality.”
Daughter of the vice-president Kiki Osinbajo posted same photo on Instagram with the caption, “Police Brutality Must End Now… #EndPoliceBrutality #EndSARS.”
Their followers have urged them to convey the message to their fathers directly, saying it would be more effective than social media post.
Protests have been growing in several parts of the country against the notorious police unit the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) which the government plans to reform rather than scrap as demanded by the protesters.
