President Muhammadu Buhari has received the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Althani, on Tuesday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The emir is on a state visit to Africa’s most populous nation.
He had arrived in Rwanda on Sunday for a three-day state visit with senior government officials and business executives from the Gulf state.
The emir’s visit to Nigeria comes three years after Buhari visited Doha, Qatari capital in February 2016.
Buhari had attended a meeting of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) in Doha.
During a bilateral meeting with the emir, Buhari invited Qatari investors to take advantage of opportunities in Nigeria and invest in energy, agriculture, real estate development, banking and finance.
