President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly replaced Ita Enang as his aide on National Assembly Matters (Senate).
Premium Times said a source close to the Presidency said on Sunday that President Buhari had picked a former senator from Osun State, Omoworare Babajide, to replace Enang.
The online newspaper said it is believed the former Akwa Ibom Senator did not impress Buhari in his relationship with the eight assembly.
“Despite the experience he has and the senators being his former colleagues, he could not resolve the frequent crisis the senators were having with the president,” the source was quoted saying.
It also said another source alleged that the Presidency was not happy with Enang’s call last week for stakeholders in the South to accept Ruga settlement project which had already been dropped.
It is believed the former federal lawmaker could be appointed as an aide to the President on Niger Delta matters.
