President Muhammadu Buhari will on Friday August 3, 2018 begin a 10 working days holiday, the Presidency has announced.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Special Adviser on Media and publicity, Femi Adesina.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will act as President in Buhari’s absence.
“In compliance with Section 145 (1) of the 1999 Constitution, a letter has been transmitted to the President of the Senate, and the Speaker, House of Representatives to that effect.
“While the President is on vacation, the Vice President will be in acting capacity as President,” the statement said.
Buhari spent three days in London in May on medical grounds.
He spent five months in England’s capital last year for the treatment of an undisclosed ailment.
Buhari, however, said that he had “never been so ill” and that his time in London involved blood transfusions and a battery of tests.
