President Muhammadu Buhari has sent National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole, Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, and governors from the ruling party to woo Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate, Iyiola Omisore, ahead of Thursday’s rerun governorship election in Osun State.
On the delegation were Governors Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo, Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun, Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano and Governor-elect Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti.

The visitors begged Omisore to support Gboyega Oyetola in the rerun poll holding in seven units in four local government areas.
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Ademola Adeleke, had polled 254,698 votes to defeat Oyetola, who polled 254,345 votes in the governorship election held on Saturday.
Omisore scored a total 128,049 votes to place third.
However, due to irregularities which marred the election at some polling units in Ife North, Ife South and Orolu local government areas, including cases of card reader malfunctioning and ballot box snatching, among others, 3,498 votes recorded in the affected polling units were cancelled.
Omisore had suddenly become the darling of the APC and the PDP, who are desperately in need of votes from 3,498 registered voters that would determine who succeeds Governor Rauf Aregbesola on November 27.
Senate President Bukola Saraki had visited Omisore on Monday to strike a deal with him.
Omisore, a former governor of Osun State, defected to the SDP in May when he lost the PDP governorship primary to Adeleke.
