President Muhammadu Buhari has sworn in Muazu Sambo as the minister of state for works and housing.
The brief ceremony was held shortly before the opening of the meeting of the national security council in the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Friday.
Sambo will be assisting Babatunde Fashola who is the minister of works and housing. Sambo represents Taraba in the president’s cabinet after Mamman Sale from Taraba was sacked as minister of power.
Those who witnessed the swearing-in include Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, secretary to the government of the federation, Boss Mustapha; ministers of police affairs, justice, defence, interior and foreign affairs.
Others were service chiefs, national security adviser, Maj. Gen. Babagana Monguno (rtd); inspector-general of police, Usman Baba; director-general of the Department of State Services (DSS), Yusuf Bichi; and director-general, National Intelligence Agency, Abubakar Rufa’i.
