President Muhammadu Buhari will make his final broadcast as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces at 7 am on Sunday, May 28.
His special adviser on media and publicity Femi Adesina made this known in a statement on Saturday.
“Television, radio stations and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and Radio Nigeria for the broadcast,” the statement said.
Buhari’s successor Bola Tinubu, who won the February 25 election, will be sworn in on Monday, May 29.
Earlier on Saturday, Buhari was at the 2023 presidential inauguration lecture which had the former President of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, as guest speaker at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Also present at the lecture was Tinubu, Vice President-elect Kashim Shettima, religious leaders, representatives of corporate organisations, and business people.
