Bashir Ahmad, an aide of President Muhammadu Buhari, has criticised Lola Omotayo, wife of singer, Peter Okoye, for demanding that the government disclose the location of the president’s chief of staff, Abba Kyari.
Lola made the demand in a video she posted on Instagram on Thursday.
Mr Ahmad, however, responded via a tweet on Friday, saying she should also concern herself with the whereabouts of other COVID-19 patients.
“Though I really don’t know who this Lola is, but someone close to her should pls tell her to leave Abba Kyari to recuperate in peace, he’s in Lagos & responding well to treatment,” he said.
“If it’s caring she should also use the same energy to ask the whereabouts of other #COVID19 patients.”
It was announced on March 27 that Kyari had tested positive for coronavirus after a trip to Germany.
The chief of staff issued a statement on March 29, confirming his diagnosis and said he would be working from home as a result.
He also added that he would be in Lagos on Monday to undergo some tests.
However, on Tuesday, the Commissioner for Health Lagos State, Professor Akin Abayomi, denied any knowledge of Kyari’s stay in Lagos.
