Zahra Buhari, daughter-in-law of President Muhammadu Buhari, has graduated with first class honours in architectural science.
First lady Aisha Buhari and her daughter Zahra and other members of both families attended the graduation ceremony.
Mrs Buhari posted photos from the graduation ceremony on social media on Tuesday.
Although the first lady did not reveal the university her daughter-in-law graduated from, it is believed to be outside the country.
“Congratulations to Mrs. Zahra B Buhari on your graduation with First Class Honors in Architectural Science. Wishing you all the best!” She wrote.
Zahra, daughter of the emir of Bichi Nasiru Ado Bayero, married Buhari’s only son Yusuf in August 2021.
Former President Goodluck Jonathan and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar attended the wedding fatiha in the ancient city of Kano.
Also present at the wedding was Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, former Niger president, Mahamadiu Isoufou; Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi; Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni; minister of communications and digital economy, Isa Pantami, among others.
The wedding was the talk of the town. The fleet of private aircrafts which flew guests to the wedding in Kano also drew criticism from the public.
