Zahra Buhari-Indimi, daughter of President Muhammadu Buhari, has debunked rumour that her friend Aisha Tahir is dead.
Tahir got married to Umar in a private ceremony on October 30, 2021.
She had apologised on Instagram to her friends for finding out late about her new status.
“Apologies to all my lovely friends & acquaintances for finding out late…I’m still gradually transitioning into this beautiful phase of my life,” the visual artist said.
Tahir has not made any post on Instagram since December 9, 2021, when she informed the public of her wedding.
Following rumour of her demise on social media on Monday, Mrs Buhari-Indimi said on Instastory that her friend “is very much alive.”
Nadine Ibrahim, daughter of the United Nations deputy secretary-general, Amina Mohammed, also countered the rumour.
Tahir had her first art exhibition titled ‘self in society’ in July 2021 at Dunes Center, Abuja.
