Actress Rita Dominic has questioned those attacking tweeps complaining about the inadequacies of Nigeria, wondering if their bullying is a new strategy to win the forthcoming general elections.
The 46-year-old asked this on Twitter on Wednesday.
“What’s happening? Someone complains about electricity or water or education, similar-looking accounts will rush to the tweet to insult them. Is that the new strategy to win election?” she asked.
Twitter users stormed the social media platform to share thoughts on the question.
@Samsioni wrote: “Nigeria requires som1 politically savvy to adequately navigate our complex political trenches in order to harness good governance to deliver results. A technocrat without experience in politics will have a great agenda but will not be able to implement it and deliver the results.”
“We only need someone who hasn’t been in any political post before but vibrant enough to push the country forward to contest for president. That way nobody will have anything to say and if we all are wise enough we should all support that person’s blood and sweat,” @AG_Oriola tweeted.
“Celebrities like you guys in Nollywood and your friends in the Music industry can save this Country if they want. You guys have fans and followers that will join any protest! It’s long overdue!” @Timisilver replied Rita.
“It can be anyone else though, but not someone who is looking for it wholeheartedly with 80% personal intentions,”@LuckyOkwujie added.
