Grammy winner Burna Boy has celebrated reaching a milestone as the first African artiste to hit 200 million streams on Boomplay.
The announcement was made on the official Twitter page of the music platform on Monday.
“Odogwu you bad, e file fun @burnaboy as he poses with the first-ever duo-golden club plaque, for hitting 200,000,000+ streams on Boomplay. Celebrate this living legend by jamming his milestone hits,” the tweet read.
Celebrating on Twitter on Wednesday, Burna Boy retweeted the post with love emojis.
Speaking of the singer’s latest achievement, the director of artist and media relations of the music platform, Tosin Sorinola said, “This is another iconic feat for Burna Boy, Boomplay, and the entire African music industry.
