Singer Burna Boy has received a Grammy nomination along with Beninese-American music icon Angelique Kidjo for the Best Global Performance award category.
The organisers of the awards made this known on Twitter on Tuesday.
The music stars were nominated for the song ‘Do Yourself’ by Kidjo which features Burna Boy.
Kidjo also bagged a nomination for Best Global Music Album, an award which she won in 2020 and Burna Boy 2021.
Meanwhile, Femi Kuti, Made Kuti, Wizkid and Tems were also nominated in the same category.
Burna Boy has officially made history as the first Nigerian artiste to be nominated three consecutive times for a Grammy Award.
The singer was first nominated for Best Global Music Album in 2020 alongside Kidjo whom he lost to.
He was nominated again in 2021, which he won.
