Afro-fusion star Burna Boy has received a hero’s welcome in his home town Port Harcourt, Rivers State following his 2021 Grammy award.
The singer shared videos and pictures of the reception on his Instastories on Saturday, showing his arrival at the airport, the road trip and others.
The ‘African Giant’ singer also met with Rivers governor Nyesom Wike.
Burna’s homecoming was announced a few days ago in an Instagram post by his colleague Duncan Mighty.
The singer won the Best Global Album for his Twice As Tall album at the recently held Grammy awards.
In 2020, he also won another BET award for Best International Act.
Both Duncan Mighty and Burna Boy are natives of Rivers State.
