The Recording Academy, organisers of the Grammy Awards, have stated that pop musician, Burna Boy, is steadily ascending as a globally-loved superstar.
The music body made this known in a tweet on Friday.

“@burnaboy is steadily ascending as a globally-loved superstar, with his smooth, rich vocals and infectious beats that blend traditional Afrobeat, dancehall, hip-hop, trap, and more,” they wrote.
African Giant, the latest album by Burna Boy became the highest-ranking African album in the United Kingdom.
The critically-acclaimed album debuted at number 16 on the UK albums chart.
African Giant also debuted at number 104 on Billboard’s 200 charts, solidifying its global recognition and acceptance value.

The album is led by titular track, ‘African Giant,’ and has a whopping 19 tracks on it.
African Giant has a run time of over one hour.
The album artwork is inspired by the first Nigerian ten Naira note which has Alvan Ikoku, one of Nigeria’s foremost educationists and free primary education activist.
The album features British singer, Jorja Smith; African legend, Angelique Kidjo, and Damian Marley, son of Jamaican icon, Bob Marley.
