The remains of Edo-born business mogul and philanthropist Captain Hosa Okunbo will be buried on October 8, the family has announced.
Okunbo died on August 7 at a hospital in London, UK. The 73-year-old had a long battle with cancer.
The order of events signed by Osahon Hosa-Okunbo on behalf of the family said the events will be strictly by invitation and Covid-19 compliant.
Okunbo’s final journey will begin with a night of tributes on October 5 and 6. A service of songs will follow on October 7. The funeral service will be held on October 8 at Nigerian Air Force base by Prestige Hotel Airport Road, Benin City, Edo State.
The events will be rounded off with a thanksgiving service at the Air Force base on October 9.
Okunbo was a trained commercial pilot. He served as either chairman or director on numerous company boards in Nigeria, spanning multiple business sectors such as the agro-allied, petroleum, telecommunications, power, real estate, and banking industries.
